Space Force

Space Force is a military branch of the United States Armed Forces that is primarily responsible for organizing, training, and equipping military personnel to conduct operations in outer space. Established on December 20, 2019, as an independent service within the Department of the Air Force, its mission includes the protection of U.S. and allied interests in space, deterring aggression in space, and conducting space operations. Space Force plays a critical role in ensuring national security through space capabilities, which can involve satellite operations, monitoring space debris, and addressing challenges posed by adversarial actions in the space domain.
